Preventative Care and Education

Our practice strives to provide preventative dental health care that focuses on thorough intra-oral and head and neck examinations.  You can expect an exam that will inspect your teeth and gums for any anomalies, a comprehensive oral cancer screening and radiographs (x-rays), as needed, to further determine any potential issues. We employ a highly trained team of Registered Dental Hygienists, some of whom have been with our practice for over 20 years, who will provide dental cleanings, periodontal disease maintenance as well as fluoride treatments to help strengthen your tooth structure. In short our office is focused on preventing dental disease rather than reacting to it. Dr. Hughson-Otte's post doctorate training and extensive national and international lecturing raises the bar to a new level of dental treatment. "We treat the entire patient not just the mouth!"

Infection Control

In conjunction with standards recommended by the American Dental Association (ADA), the California Dental Association (CDA), the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and the Center for Disease Control (CDC) our office goes to great lengths to provide a safe sterile environment. Our "Steri-Center" pictured here utilizes high-quality state of the art equipment to maintain our patient's safety as well as the safety of our staff. Unlike many dental offices our office incorporates a water purification system to further eliminate any possibility of water-born contamination that my be harmful to our patients.

Dr. Hughson-Otte has been practicing dentistry for over 20 years (Dr. Gin's biography).  Our office only employs Registered Dental Hygienists and Registered Dental Assistants with a higher level of accredited skills.  In order to maintain our high standards and to facilitate our license credentialing we are actively committed to continuing education programs that will enhance the treatment of our patients. Each of our health care providers is affiliated with a variety of dental organizations allowing them to stay involved in the latest advancements and techniques of 21st century dentistry.
